Planning a family trip to Bali in 2025? Ensure a safe and smooth holiday by avoiding common travel mistakes. Here are some essential tips to keep in mind.
For health and safety, always use bottled or filtered water for brushing teeth and washing bottles. Protect your family from Bali mosquitoes by using strong repellent and covering up at dusk. If you're staying in a villa, check for pool fences or book a temporary one for safety. Also, pre-book family transfers that provide car seats, as taxis may not have them.
When planning your itinerary, limit activities to one main outing per day to accommodate Bali traffic and keep the kids comfortable. Consider splitting your stay between different areas like Sanur, Ubud, and Seminyak to reduce travel time. Don't forget to pack essentials such as high-SPF child sunscreen, swim diapers, and specific medicines from home.
Respect local culture by dressing modestly when visiting temples, using a sarong and sash for everyone, including children. Be mindful of offerings on the ground and avoid stepping on them. Teach kids to interact appropriately by using the right hand to give or receive items and avoid direct interaction with monkeys.
